Pendant Width Rule

As a general rule, the pendant or chandelier should be approximately one-half to two-thirds the width of the dining table.

• A 90cm wide table works well with a pendant between 45cm and 60cm wide.

• A 100cm wide table works well with a pendant between 50cm and 65cm wide.

• A 120cm wide table can accommodate a pendant between 60cm and 80cm wide.

The fitting should never extend to the edge of the table. Leave visual breathing room so the pendant feels suspended within the setting rather than crowding it.

Ideal Hanging Height Above a Dining Table
